Seeding
June begins the season’s heat, although this year it arrived early. Afternoon thunderstorms have become rarer, and some of May’s plantings are dying. Work has become incredibly busy, and I have not been in the garden as much as I want. I see gaps in the vegetable beds, wilted and dead pea shoots even where the drip lines reach, and the violas and pansies have begun to seed. The Pandora poppies bloom in various shades of purple, burgundy (some red), and variegated grey.
