In the garden

As the mosquitoes begin to emerge, so do the June flowers. The snap and snow peas are in bloom, as are the columbine, primrose, valerian,  delphinium, salvia, and veronica. The peonies and poppies have passed their prime and I am already collecting the latter’s seed heads. Cosmos, nasturtiums, and zinnias are growing stronger, and the 14 tomato varietals are doing brilliantly.
